Terms & Safety

Draft for review, not yet approved for public launch. Anything not yet confirmed is marked "to be confirmed before launch".

The short version

  • You must be 18 or over.
  • Midlife Crisis Command is a game for fun. It is not medical, fitness or professional training advice.
  • Exercise carries a risk of injury. You choose what to attempt, and you are responsible for doing it safely.
  • It is free and played on the honour system. Results are self-reported and nobody checks them.
  • No armed force is connected to this game.

Safety

  • You decide whether an activity is right for you. If it is new to you or strenuous, talk to a doctor or other health professional first.
  • Stop if you feel pain, dizziness, unusual shortness of breath or anything else that worries you.
  • By taking part, you accept the ordinary risks of the activities you choose to attempt.
  • The game sets no safe targets for you. A goal, a duel, a mission or a standard is never a reason to push through pain.

Results and standards

  • Results are self-reported. We do not check them and we do not watch your form.
  • Military fitness standards are quoted from their published sources, for comparison and entertainment. Matching one is not a qualification, an assessment or a selection decision.
  • No armed force or military organisation is affiliated with, sponsors, approves or endorses this game.

Using the game

  • Be decent in squads. Captains can remove members and hide activity, and anyone can report an item.
  • Don't try to access other people's accounts, squads or private results.

Our responsibility

  • To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for injury or loss that comes from your training or from relying on the game.
  • Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit. That includes death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and fraud. It does not take away your legal rights as a consumer.
